I am thrilled to report that The Grimmelings has been shortlisted for the Wright Family Foundation Esther Glen Award for Junior Fiction in the New Zealand Books Awards for Children & Young Adults! I look forward to hanging out with my writing community (many of whom I know and some who I’m yet to meet!) at the awards ceremony in Wellington on 14 August. In the lead-up I’ll be doing cool Books Alive schools’ events in Invercargill and Christchurch where I hope to meet some more of my readers, young and young-adjacent (that’s me – young adjacent).
